For monitoring cracks between building components in angular attitude to each other. This Type consists of two tcl – i ● CRACK MONITOR© TYPE TT 1 Standard, combined with two tcl – i ● CRACK MONITOR© ADAPTOR. It is important for the tcl – i ● CRACK MONITOR© TYPE TT 2 Corner to be used in pairs, installed in opposite directions, as can be clearly seen above. For this purpose, one adaptor is being fastened on one monitor atop the measuring scale carrier, the other one atop the hairline cross carrier of the second monitor. The adaptor is infinitely adjustable at angles between 67°and 247°, thus affording installation and serviceability in virtually allcorner configurations.

The tcl – i ● CRACK MONITOR© Adaptor is being supplied including the fastening screws, and not only affords applications in corners, but can also be applied to compensate for extremely uneven surfaces, as can be encountered on random stone work. The tcl – i ● CRACK MONITOR© ADAPTOR is compatible with both, the tcl – i ● CRACK MONITOR© TYPE TT 1 Standard and TYPE TT 1 Plus and is infinitely adjustable at angles between 67° and 247°.

To monitor heave/drop of floor slabs relative to adjoining vertical building components. It consists of a tcl – i ● CRACK MONITOR© TYPE TT 1 Standard in combination with a tcl – i ● CRACKMONITOR© ADAPTOR, affixed by means of two screws and hex-nuts.

BEWARE! There are a number of Fakes of this Type being marketed as well, one originating from the same shop as the Fake of the Standard Type Original, offered at € 21.00, and being flawed as already documented in the Section “Wall Plane”. This fake is easily recognised by the numbering of the 5 and 15mm measuring lines, and corrugated surfaces, especially of the adaptor.

This Fake is an exact replica of the Original tcl-i • CRACKMONITOR© TYPE TT 2 Corner Mark 1 edition, which was discontinued due to the fact that a precise 90° Angle can seldom be found in the immediate vicinity of corners in buildings
As with TYPE TT 2 CORNER, pirated copies of the discontinued TYPE TT 3 FLOOR SLAB Mark 1 are being offered for sale with the inherent problems as described in connection with TYPE TT 2 Corner. These fakes consist of a transparent plastic strip bent at right angle, and carrying a hairline, and a white plastic strip carrying the measuring scale, as can be seen on this image:
This product brazenly copies a configuration of the Original, but cheap print, non-uniform and inaccurate measuring lines are a speciality of that brand.
It never fails to amaze, how brazenly product pirates falsely claim their fake to be an Innovation by the fraudsters, representing state of the art monitoring and measuring technology, whilst deliberately offering seriously flawed, and therefore not fit for the purpose junk products. Impressive is also, when vendors promise “Top Advice” whilst wilfully and knowingly keeping the potential customer in the dark as to the known disadvantages, nay, uselessness of the product promoted. Worrying is the number of customers who still fall for this.
